Empowering Job Seekers, Protecting Data Privacy.
We built Keyword Gap because we were frustrated by the same obstacle every job seeker faces: the invisible wall of Applicant Tracking Systems. But we were even more frustrated by what traditional solutions demanded: handing over your full resume, complete with telephone numbers, home addresses, employment history, and personal achievements, to cloud servers you do not control, cannot audit, and cannot delete.
Traditional resume optimization tools operate on a dangerous model. You upload your document, their server ingests it, their algorithm scores it, and your career data remains in a centralized database indefinitely. That data is frequently commoditized or sold to third party recruitment brokers. We believe that is fundamentally wrong. Your career history is not a data product.
Our Mission: Zero Trust by Default
Keyword Gap was designed from the ground up with a single architectural principle: your documents never leave your device. Every single operation, including PDF text extraction, DOCX parsing, keyword tokenization, gap analysis, and match scoring, executes entirely inside your web browser using local memory. There are zero server side endpoints processing your resume, zero databases storing your job descriptions, and zero external tracking pipes transmitting your information anywhere.
This is an audited technical reality. When you open our tool, the entire application bundle loads into your browser. The parsing utilities, including mammoth.js for DOCX extraction and pdf.js for PDF parsing, are client side dependencies running strictly inside your browser sandbox.
Connecting Resume Analysis with Real Time Work Opportunities
Career acceleration does not stop at resume keyword optimization. Once you identify and close your qualification gaps, the next hurdle is finding legitimate openings that value your specific technical profile. Most commercial job boards are filled with outdated listings, recruiters requesting invasive telemetry, or portals that sell candidate profiles.
Keyword Gap now bridges this divide by integrating an automated remote developer jobs directory directly inside your private workspace. Candidates can filter verified software engineering contracts, AI development tasks, and developer bounties. Because the jobs engine runs client side, you can match your resume against live requisitions and generate custom pitch kits without ever leaking your career trajectory or search behavior to outside tracking networks.
How It Works: Purely Local Execution
When you paste a resume or drop a file, the browser reads the file contents into a local memory buffer. The parsing library converts that buffer into plain text. Our keyword analyzer tokenizes the target job requisition, extracts weighted terms, and performs a direct comparison against your resume text. The resulting match score, missing keywords, and matched terms are rendered into the interface using purely local state. At no point is an HTTP request made with your document content.
If you close the tab, the in memory data is purged. If you refresh the page, the workspace resets. There is no cloud sync, no mandatory user account, and no tracking infrastructure watching which positions you apply for. This is what 100 percent client side privacy actually means.
Built for Job Seekers, Not Data Brokers
We are an independent engineering initiative focused on building software that respects the people who rely on it. We do not have venture capital investors pressuring us to monetize candidate data. We do not have enterprise sales teams pushing recruiter dashboards. We are simply building the best free resume scanner and remote work workspace on the internet, with the strongest privacy guarantee in the industry.
If you believe job applicants deserve better than opaque cloud services and paywalled keyword checkers, we are on the same side. Use the tool, share it with a friend, and help us prove that privacy first engineering can outcompete surveillance based business models.
Editorial and Engineering Leadership
Transparency in career guidance and technical parsing algorithms is essential. Our platform architecture and educational guides are created and maintained by experienced software professionals.

Editorial Guidelines and Fact Checking Policy
To protect job seekers from outdated or deceptive career advice, every tutorial, comparison, and layout blueprint on this site must satisfy our editorial policy:
- Empirical Parser Testing: Formatting recommendations are verified by testing raw PDF and DOCX files through live ATS extraction engines.
- Zero Paid Placements: We do not accept sponsored content, paid vendor rankings, or affiliate kickbacks that compromise the objectivity of our scanner comparisons.
- Continuous Maintenance: Hiring algorithms evolve. Our technical guides are updated each quarter to reflect new candidate screening metrics.
- Correction Transparency: If a technical specification changes or an error is identified, we update the guide with full disclosure. Readers can submit corrections directly via our contact portal.
