Terms of Service
By using this website and its associated resume optimization tools, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to be fair, transparent, and protective of both users and the integrity of the service.
1. Acceptable Use
This system is a free optimization utility designed for individual job applicants to analyze their own resumes against job descriptions. You may use the tool for personal, non-commercial job search purposes without restriction.
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Automated commercial scraping, bulk data harvesting, or systematic extraction of the tool's output.
- API reverse-engineering, decompilation, or unauthorized modification of the frontend JavaScript bundles.
- Using the tool to process resumes or job descriptions on behalf of third parties for commercial screening or recruitment services.
- Any attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the availability of the service.
Violation of these acceptable use terms may result in blocking of your IP address or other technical measures to preserve service integrity.
2. Disclaimer of Liability
The analysis tool offers optimization metrics based on algorithmic comparison checks between your resume text and a job description. These metrics — including match scores, missing keyword lists, and keyword frequency data — are provided for informational and guidance purposes only.
We do not guarantee automated recruitment system entry, interview scheduling success, or job offer outcomes. Different companies use different Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, iCIMS, Taleo, and others) with different scoring algorithms, parsing rules, and human-review workflows. No external tool can perfectly predict how every employer's internal system will evaluate your resume.
The service is provided strictly "as-is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all liability for any decisions you make based on the tool's output, including but not limited to resume modifications, job applications, or career strategy changes.
3. Intellectual Property
The website design, code, branding, and proprietary keyword analysis algorithms are the intellectual property of Keyword Gap. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from the application code without explicit written permission. The open-source libraries we use (mammoth.js, pdf.js, and others) remain under their respective licenses.
4. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
